Sharing Memories

From Philip Klein

He taught gemara and dinim to students, many of whom came from non-shomer Shabbos homes. He was my rebbe in yeshiva ketana for 4 years. I was always a good student. I came from an observant home. I developed a nice Kesher to him. He had a sense of humor and I do not remember him ever getting angry. He was for me a great role model of Yahadus and contributed to my frumkeit and warm feelings to chassidus. We were taught Ivrit Be'Ivrit and my learning "skills" - specifically the Loshon of the gemara - are in part related to how he taught. I did continue in Yeshiva for high school and college at Yeshiva University, and thus learned much more beyond 8th grade and continue to learn regularly.
